I finally lft on the Baz Bus this morning and met a couple of the same people that were on my first baz bus who were also making their way to st lucia and were going to be staying in the same hostel which was pretty cool. At one of the stops before st lucia we also ended up picking up a couple of others going to the same place giving us a ready made group before we even got there. The afternoon was pretty chilled out, the hostel gave us a complementary drive around the town to get our bearings, something that is only usefull during the daytime because at night there is only one road that we could walk down due to the amount of hippos that walk the streets at night! i'm really not joking! St Lucia is a pretty cool town and now having a group of people made it all the better. In the evening we went out for a few drinks and gained more people from the hostel along our way : )

I only had one full day in st lucia which was a shame as it was so nice here. I was planning on spending the morning part of the day at the beach and got the shuttle service there but it was so windy that the sand really hurt and I came straight back again! This was ok though because two of the people that I had made friends with were heading straight to Durban so I got to say goodbye and then got to skype my mum : ) and just chilled out by the pool untill about 3.30pm. at 3.30pm we all met in reception as we were going on the hippo boat cruise complete with free beer curtosy of the hostel : D The boat ride was amazing! I got to see so much wildlife and so many hippos! It was really cool and really chilled out. A really nice afternoon that then turned into a really nice evening : )
