Found Hostel Nis! Awesome, right in the city, off road parking, cafe/bar next door, free internet... really nice people here! Vladamir admired the car and gave us advice for picking up the vignette in Bulgaria. We went out for dinner and it cost a whole 11 Euro! Dinner and drinks... The land is so flat the drive was easy - Fintan let me drive for ages! It seems like quite an impoverisheed country though, we saw lots of people weeding fields, and tilling the land...

Well, I don't know the km's of the top of my head, but we've had a few long days driving! We made it to France through the channel tunnel. It was quite strange, but very efficient. 30 mins to Calais in a train carriage big enough for articulated lorries. Each carriage can take 3 or 4 cars, and has fire break doors. And we were chocked in place.
