The trip started off with a bit of a panic as on route to Heathrow the traffic was a nightmare and I only made check in with 4 mins to spare! After that though things calmed down and the flight to LA was very good. I landed in LA at 7.30pm and headed straight to my hostel to be greeted with a free BBQ and free Budweiser night, which I took full advantage of! The following day Ben Smith (old school friend I haven't seen for years) picked me up early doors and took me on a days trip around LA which included the Hollywood sign, Malibu, Venice beach, biker cafes, ridiculously huge meals and a bike ride! New Year's Eve then followed where I spent the morning looking around the Beverly centre followed by a nice kip in the afternoon ready for the evening! I met up with Ben again, Kerry (Bens wife) and some of their friends and we went for a meal and then on to bars to see the New Years in which was a great night. Today is New Year's Day and after struggling to get up with a hangover I made it back to my hostel in time for a guided tour around LA doing the bits I didn't do with Ben. This included the stars houses and lots of Beverley Hills which was good fun. I'm currently sitting in LAX waiting to board the plane to Fiji which I'm very excited about! I take off today (01/01) and land on the 03/01 which is interesting! I'll upload the rest of the LA pics and give an update on Fiji in a few days, by for now! x
