We woke up to a HUGE thunderstorm this morning. After great breakfast we headed downtown to a big computer market. While it was impressive, we didn't buy anything. We accidentally reached a small outlet with REAL western branc name clothes. Ami bought a hat. Yay... . :) After returning to the hotel, I had a chat with an assistant manager, who gave us free tickets to a nearby water park (which was a bad Chinese dip-off) and invited us to one of three evening buffe...

Today we wanted to go shopping for clothes in the capital of textile in China. It took us over an hour to get downtown, but, alas, all the sizes were fit for Asians and not for us... . Anyway, we visited the new 61 floors Sofitel Humen hotel and were given a VIP tour of the suites. OMG!!! The Opera suite was HUGE!!! Back in the hotel, we enjoyed the 2600 sq/m pool and ate like pigs. :) Tomorrow - some more relaxation and a visit to the computer market. Cya! :) ...

Left hot Hangzhou by taxi, flight, bus and taxi. Arrived at the wonderfully luxurios hotel in Dongguan. It's after 2:00 so I'll continue tomorrow. Nighty!!! Then came the morning... . The hotel we are staying at is overlooking a big lagoon, encircled with trees, a temple and hills. It is - BY FAR - the most luxurious hotel we've stayed at during this trip. Woke up to a particularly hot day today - 38 degrees + 85% humidity. Lovely... . Had a just-so-so complimentary breakfast (don't ask...) and went out to explore two free museums - the tea museum and the silk museum. While the silk museum was just ok, the tea museum was truly nice, with a nice collection of exhibits plus a personal tea-making ceremony, which was awesome. :) After a short break at the hotel, we started walking the banks of the beautiful West Lake. ...

12:30 update. Last half lazy day in Shanghai, getting ready to board a train to beautiful Hangzhou. Due to our Shanghai hotel mistake, we were given a complimentary limo ride to the train station... . Yay!!! Shanghai was great, much more than Beijing. More to come later. :) 1:15 night update.
