Zvi Josef's Travels
After several lazy days in Osaka, we took the bullet-train to the city that needs no introduction, unfortunately - Hiroshima.
Due to the weather, the trains were super late (for Japan) and we ended up sitting in a reserved seat although our ticket was not reserved.
Hiroshima has no metro so we took a street car to the hotel, checked in and got upgraded. Again, we were assigned a smoking room which we immediately switched.
We visited the memorial museum and park, which was somber yet eerily wonderful. The a-bomb dome, though, really gave me the chills. The park itself feature several memorials, which should not be missed.
Having visited this special place only made me more aware that the world is INSANE in allowing countries like Iran develop nuclear weapons.
We ended the day with a nice dinner in town and a stroll by the river.
Tomorrow we're off to Fukuoka, our final city in Japan, before returning to Southbound.
