Zvi Josef's Travels
Today we left the hectic life in Shanghai for the more quiet side of China - Sichuan. And what a better place to do it other than in Sichuan's capital - Chengdu?
Well, the morning started with a rather hurried rush to the airport - we ended up taking the Maglev train (431 km/h), which was cool, yet less impressive than before.
Check in was a breeze but our flight was delayed for over and hour, and towards the landing, we encountered a HUGE air pocket and the plane plunged a couple of meters in zero second - quite scary!!!
We then took a bus to the hotel and arrived at a rather nice hotel (although not quite the 5-stars hotel it should've been). Since our upgraded room was not available, we got a rather "regular" luxury room with Club benefits, but tomorrow we're getting a cool suite, hopefully. Still, our room include a PC and free broadband internet' so no complaints here. :)
Had lots of snacks and drinks at the lounge and were supposed to go out for a stroll downtown, but I started to get a bit dizzy, so we returned to the hotel for a rest.
Tomorrow, we're off to see some cute pandas. :)
G'night!
