29/30 June - India - Delhi

Prior to departure we had decided to treat ourselves to a nice hotel in Delhi ..... So we moved across here on the Saturday morning & settled in... Did a little bit of market shopping and just relaxed & enjoyed the amenities.

Delhi is a huge city, the traffic moves efficiently & so far no cows or buffalo seen walking the streets. There are still packs of stray dogs & a fair amount of rubbish but efforts are made to clean it up.
The shopping is a bit like running the gauntlet ..... You get mercilessly harassed but the trick is to carry on walking checking out things from the corner of your eye, only stopping if you seriously think you may want it. It is all good natured though & feels safe enough ( not talking about pickpockets ) whom I'm sure lurk everywhere.
