Krabi - 17th - 18th July
Hi everyone, sorry we have not updated for a while. The reason being the internet has been really expensive and now that we have found somewhere that is cheap simon is having trouble uploading the photos. I have alot of updating to do as we are now in Malaysia and we have been to Penang, Cameron Highlands, Perhentian Islans and now in Cherating but leaving for Kuala Lumpur tomorrow! Si will persevere with the photos!
There isn't much to report on Krabi really we left beautiful Koh Phi Phi the morning of 17th via boat back to the mainland town of Krabi and stayed in a lovely hotel. We spent the day lazily walking around Krabi town and realised how near we were getting to Malaysia as there was alot of influence here. It reminded me alot of Malaysia, especially when i found a stall that sold Roti Chani (one of my favourite dishes when we lived in Malaysia) the woman behind the counter must have thought i was mad as i was shouting with glee that they did Roti Chani! Theres only so much thai curries you can stand!
The next day we chartered a long tail boat to take us up and own the river to visit the two limestone peaks visible from Krabi town (sorry can't remember there names!) and the cave inside one of them along with the fishing village. That was great fun especially messing about in the cave (didn't stay too long though as there were loads of bats!) and the fishing village with the blowfish and puffa fish!
We chilled the rest of the time and enjoyed our last couple of days in Thailand. We left to go to Malaysia the morning of the 19th...blog and photos to follow shortly, i hope
love shell and simon xxx
