It turns out I'm teaching today. I did a little teaching English in Thailand a few years ago, but not since so I was a little nervous.
The school is very small, with little in the class rooms but the basics. Luckily the children were really accommodating. Of course there was the odd class clown and mischievous boys, but all in all the class helped teach me Spanish, as well as me teaching them English!
I taught them numbers, colours, greetings and shapes. They were so cute and had fun playing the games too.
After 2 hours of teaching, James and I went to help the other guys out at the Nursery, which is only a 5 minute walk away.
The previous groups built and painted a lovely nursery. We're here to help fit the plumbing. Digging trenches for the water pipes isn't the most glamourous of jobs, but one that's essential if the nursery is to have running water and toilets.
It was really tiring, but we worked at our own pace- so I coped OK.
After all that digging I fell asleep in the hammock back at the lodge around 8pm!
