As we left Manapouri to get the boat to Doubtful Sound the weather was good.To get to where we were to start canoeing we had a 40 minute boat trip along Manapouri Lake, then a 30 minute bus ride.Once we got to the start of the canoeing the water was so choppy we could not go in there, so we took another boat further into the fiord where it was calm enough to canoe.By this time it was raining again, but apparently the best way to see the fiords is in the rain as it produces many waterfalls.Well we definitely saw lots of waterfalls as it rained all day while we were on the canoes, but it wasn't cold so it didn't seem to really matter and you even forgot about it after a while.
The boat trip back across the lake was good, the wind made the water really choppy and the guy driving went as fast as he could, the boat just bashed through the waves banging down on the water and sending splash waves right over the top of the boat.
On our way to Queenstown now to do the bungy jump.

Mam You should be used to the rain by now. I bet that boat couldn't go fast enough for you. Be careful on the bungy jump but enjoy.
