Hello to everyone, missing you all so much now- its been a loooong time! Steven is away on a mountain bike trip so i am using this time to attempt to catch up on blogs...

We arrived in Buenos Aires at the start of feb and spent abot 3.5weeks there. At first it was a bit of a shock after the peaceful, calm and gleamilngly clean country of New Zealand. And with no spanish whatsoever it was quite a challenge! We managed to quickly find an apartment in the poshest area of the city- Recoleta- lovely place full of cafes and restaurants that are still packed at 12am at night. They love to party here also, the clubs dont really start til 2am!

I really started to fall in love with BA after about 1 week- by this time we had started our 3 week spanish course and i had started tango lessons (Steven even came along to a few!). These activities, along with sightseeing and eating out with our classmates filled our time and the 3 weeks flew by.

I love the argentinian people- all very friendly and helpful to us. Our spanish really improved too and it was fun trying out our new skill in real life situations, like the supermarket and shops. i even managed to get my hair cut completely using spanish and it worked out fine!

Anyway, we spent so long in the city that i dont have time to tell you everything we did but basically lots of great sights, tango everywhere and the BEST steaks in the world!!! La Cabrera- the most amazing steak house will be visited again when dad joins us!xxx
