Got to Hanoi at around 6am. Straight to the travel agency with Sidney who sorted out our Halong Bay tour. Stayed there a good few hours, Guus' bike was in for repair so had to wait until 2 for that to finish. I finished by blog finally (yay ha!) as had loads of time to kill. Willem had issues sorted with his bike also. All bikes got fixed Guus kicked off a bit as the bikes were playing up a lot after only having them a week to be understandable seeing as they are about 100 years old. Rode around 90km in 2 hours as all flat roads and straight compared to North Thailand in the mountains all s***ty rocky road and comers. But the views were incomparable this is all just highway now Bas took us down some tracks to liven it up but we all got to Ninh Binh to stay in this hostel as we are gradually making our way to Hoi An which is ages away from Hanoi. Hostel was cool we went on a boat trip within 15 minutes of arriving which was good and nice and chilled with a guy rowing with his feet which was weird to see! Once done it had started to rain so got some good food had a mix of pizza, burgers and spring rolls the last few days we have eaten hardly anything so it was good to get a big load of grub in us! Willem went to bed early so me, Bas and Guus were having a few drinks and meeting a few of the backpackers here one tour guide here took his pool so seriously as I have been told by others how the Vietnamese take pool very seriously but he was so awful it was laughable! All knackered and haven't had much sleep over the last few nights so I am in with chainsaw snorer Guus tonight which I buzzing for!
