Get to Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) at half 6 in the morning. Hardly any sleep on the night bus so all pretty tired. Stopped off in a cafe for some food as Boyan and Jessie's flight to Bangkok was 11.15 and Sanne's was 9.15 to Phuket. Hanoi and Bangkok are the worst for people coming up to you and trying to sell you stuff or hassle you but here was something else. I reckon it was in 45 minutes about 15-20 times people trying to sell us Raybon's and the like and it wasn't even 7am! The place was absolutely crazy the roads were non stop and it wasn't even midday! I made my mind up that I wasn't going to spend a day here so booked the first bus to Phnom Penh in Cambodia to meet back up with the boys which was going to do anyway but later on in the day after seeing the war museum but decided to just go early. They had already been to Ho Chi Minh and were now settled in Phnom Penh and going to the killing fields and S21 prison today. So we all finished breakfast and then said our goodbyes, special love for Jessie we just clicked from day one. Always laughing. They went to the airport and I went to the hostel the lads stayed at as Guus left a shirt there so got the bus at 9.15 it would take about 6 hours to cross the border and enter Cambodia. On the bus we got to the border 30 USD to sort the visa which took ages due to only one guy on reception going through everyone's passports one by one! Sweaty as you like in that office as well. Made it through the border and now on Cambodian soil! Loved Vietnam a lot so Cambodia has a lot to live up to. Made it to Phnom Penh around half 3 so got the lads location they were staying at Mad Monkey hostel so got a Cambodian SIM card and met back up with the lads. Bas and Guus were hanging after last night Willem's stomach was playing up so didn't go out. Mad Monkey was full so I stayed at Top Banana hostel just round the corner. Me and Willem had a beer and some food and could tell he wasn't right think they were pissed off I stayed a couple of nights in Dalat but explained my reasons which I think hit home and they understood. They are on a tight schedule they leave on the 21st Guus staying a bit longer so can understand they want us altogether. They were heading to Kampot as they had done Phnom Penh today so I would meet them tomorrow evening after I had gone round Phnom Penh myself. They went so I went back to Top Banana, sorted my lift in a tuk tuk for tomorrow with a guy called 'Chico' who was a larger than life character who the boys had driving them around today and literally had a couple of beers and had an early night room was really nice and the bed was awesome so needed this after all the travelling from Dalat to here!
