So, after a frustrating couple of days stuck in Cairns due to a) Half term for 2 weeks so travel prices triple and general costs are more expensive - a flight to Gold Coast costs at least $350 and Greyhound even more after half term finished on 11th prices are around $50 b) Justin Bieber was in Queensland! The helmet it was big news in Cairns hostels prices increased due to the teenagers coming to stay around the area and it got noticeably busier everywhere because of this! c) England v Australia in the Rugby World Cup this weekend also. Couldn't believe my luck what with Craigy and Chloe being busy also. So made the hard decision as money was low too to end my travels :( Gutted was an understatement so the last couple of days as I knew deep down I was going home was just a reflection on this absolute mammoth adventure I have done. Booked my flight from Cairns to Hong Kong, the stop over would be 4 hours and then onto Amsterdam to see Jessie and the lads. Leaving Oz, I know deep down I will be coming back I have unfinished business here! Only doing Queensland has been amazing and just to say I have been to Oz is a joy in itself but - I WILL BE BACK! Spent my last day mainly at the Esplanade walking around and with my beats in and travelling tunes on got a taxi to the airport for the journey back. Bring on the jet lag!
