Woke up early as the kids outside our hostel room were loud as f*** nearly threw one of them down the stairs! Had noodles for breakfast and then headed to the Shwedagon Pagoda which is the largest pagoda in Yangon and what I wanted to see when looking into Myanmar towards the end of my time in Thailand as I didn't even plan on coming to Myanmar. Short taxi trip there and it was awesome, massive small entry fee to get in and then walked around. Endless photos with the locals in front of it as per. Definitely should be charging by now! Went to another temple in the area, and that was it really! Not a lot to do in Yangon we at this point have seen enough temples to last a lifetime so we went to the cinema again ha! Watched Mad Max. KFC after which was amazing the queues were huge it was so packed in there. Went to a shopping complex next to it as well which was for the people with money in Myanmar. Having been to most of the main cities in Myanmar this small and I mean small area in Myanmar is the most western you will see at the moment. KFC, shops with designer clothes like Quiksilver etc and expensive jewellery. Around the corner is the rest of Myanmar and how it is at the moment where rats are running in food stalls where children are sleeping with flies everywhere. In 5-10 years time, this small western area of Myanmar will be all over the country for sure. In the evening we went to a sky bar for a few beers and a guy then tried to scam us into a big piss up which basically would of meant we pay for all his drinks - there is nowhere in Myanmar like what he was describing if there was we would of come there first thing! Koko his name was, never forget the way he was proper cocky trying to be cool but really desperate also for us to part with our money
