Wake up early to pack, sort out stuff and meet Laura for breakfast. Bit of a mad rush but said bye to Laura who was off to Darwin and go around Oz working for 7 months! Will try and meet her when I'm in Oz but will see how it ends up. Me and Rhi got the shuttle bus to the pier to leave Bali and head to Lombok, took around an hour to get to the pier. Stunning at the pier! Waited around an hour then for the speed boat to Lombok at Senggigi few beers on the way and a cheeky nap the views were gorgeous on the way. Get to Lombok and just hassle hassle hassle everyone coming up to us Craigy and Chloe had been to Lombok just a few days before which sucked we didn't see them but they advised us to go to Banana Leaf Cafe to meet a guy called Rocky who sorted them out with everything, boats to the Gili's and apparently the food was awesome so headed there. A random guy sorted out hostel and boat down to Kuta for tomorrow so settled at our hotel and went straight to the beach. Muslim mainly in Lombok around 80% so on the beach we had to be covered up but didn't so Rhi was worrying a bit but was all ok at this point we just stayed in the sea and swam and watched the sunset. Went out for dinner after to that cafe where the food was seriously good and Rocky the owner was a proper legend! Said we were friends with Chloe and he was saying how they were crazy when here dancing on the tables pissed up and we seen there writing on the wall like you can do over here in most restaurants so we wrote a message of thanks on the wall too. Rocky really liked us so proceeded to give us free fish that was really spicy just to see us cry and also some Lombok coffee which was seriously good coffee! Real nice guy. Went for a walk after around the place Sengiggi was pretty quiet so we went back to the hotel as we said we would have some drinks with the owner and his buddies. Got there about 10 and there was around 8 locals there immediately sat us down and got the rice wine out! Bad memories from Vietnam with rice wine! :) Tasted and was not as strong as there though but we were having a great laugh they spoke good English so jokes all the time and 2 young lads they called 'Tom and Jerry' as they were always fighting as best mates were great to watch! They loved there Bon Jovi and Aerosmith so that was the tunes for the night so we just sat with them till midnight. Real nice guys and they looked touched when we said how thankful we were and how amazing the locals in Indonesia are. Up early in the morning to head to Kuta!
