Hi Shane, amazing photos!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't believe those beaches. Just looks sooooo cooooool there! Never mind, I've got a couple of weeks off at the end of this week and we might do some jet setting, down Cornwall way! Kev is off at anther festival somewhere in Croatia or Serbia or some place like that. Not my cup of tea! So, not much happened here since I last wrote. Guess you heard about the bombs in London. Absolutely unbelievable. Touch wood, the south seems ok. Just hope they catch the b******s and throw away the key.
Did I tell you I bought another pump for the pond, keep checking it daily to see if it is any clearer. Well, guess it is, but only marginaly. But it's only been a week and Dad keeps telling me to be patient! Not my fortay any more. Weather here has turned for the better again, must have been around 30 deg yesterday, I'm just hoping it will hold for next week. But even if it rains, will still be better than at work! Well best go before I bore you to sleep. Take care. Love Mum
Shane
hello all, more photos on now
Shane
Well i dont know these boys and there toys!!!!! Are you sure you should be riding that kev, can you see where you are going!. Well what can i say Perth is alot better than sydney, sydney is nice but its alot like a normal city, you know people in your face, whereas perth is a lot more chilled out. as you know we just went to fraiser island, we hired a 4 wheel drive an aboloute mountin of a motor and f***ing belted it about everywhere. we even took off a few times, absoultly hillarious. We also went to see the fresh water lakes like macenzie etc.. really nice places those, paradise.. We have just arived today in whit sundays, before that we were in Great Kepel island, really nice place people were paying 1000s of dollors to get there and we just got a cheep backpakers deal and stayed a few days,,,,, we really pissed people off when we told them how much we payed, 60 bucks. We saw a few amazing things, have already gone snorkeling on a small part of the barrier reef. Its really something else, some many fish!!!!!!!!!!!! they are bloody every where. as forr the pictures we have got quite a few along with alot of video footage hopefully i will be abkle to find some where that will allow me to put the pictures on. I will be here in Whit sundays for a week, it has relly good night life so should be very ill for a few days. I cant beleave it i am actually getting hang overs, it really taking the edge of being a aprentice alcholic. any ways speak to you soon shane

Hi Shane, got your postcard yesterday, sorry I haven't put an update on but we had a problem with internet access. The Friday before last, we had had a week of incredibly hot weather, so, as always here, it decided to rain. And boy did it rain. I was at work but Dad was here and apparently it felt like the thunder and lightning were positioned directly on top of the bungalow! At one point, the hole place literaly shook. Peg starting running round in circles crying her head off. Word has it that the lightning struck a pole down the road. Well, after that, we couldn't get access. Kev ran the company but waste of time. In the end, found out the old modem and tried that, and it sorted it, so appears the router must have got upset as well. But, back on line now. So, what's been happening here?? The decking is finished and stained, just leaves dad to finish the pagola. Because one of the stretches is about 12 foot, we need Nigel to pick the wood up as it won't fit in the car. Yesterday I bought a new pump for the pond as we cleaned it out the other day and then it kept triping the electics, but it has done well till then, so bought it on a whim while we were in Romsey. Also got one of those UV filter cleaners, it is supposed to guarenteee clean water! Yeah, well, we'll see! You know I said the Heron eat all the fish, well good news is I was wrong! The koi that Nigel bought is still there, along with carp and tench, a goldfish and another couple of koi, so that's good news. Only a few days ago, I saw the Heron trying to fish again, so now I have put some fishing line in a zig zag formation across the larger area of the pond, hopefully to keep him away. So far so good. I like your photos, amazing how orange the landscape is on the train journey, yet at perth it appears very lush. What is better, Perth or Sydney? JDid you see any of live8 yesterday? What about Wimbeldon? Did Kev mentioned he has just bought himself a Gazgaz motorbike? It's the same sort of thing as Nigel has. They went out over the pit opposite Netley View last weekend, no, must have tbe weekend before, no, just remembered it was one evening this week. Kev nearly came a cropper but using his skill and judgement adverted a catastrophie, yeah right! Nigel on the other hand, broke his exhaust off when his bike flipped! So far it is harmless fun, let's just hope it remains harmless! Well, best go as the hedge needs cutting. Take care.
Love Mum
Kev
I think next time i should read it first

just got back from glastonbury as you can guess it rained,,,,,,, but this was some bad ass rain. it dint stop thundering for about an hour and the rain was terrential lasting for about 3 hours. When the storm died down a bit and we whent out to see what the damage was. On ispection we got out alright apart from a fue puddles in the outer part of our tent but when we got down to the foot of the hill we found tents totaly submerged in water with people waist high geting there gear out whilst doging the s*** that had floated out from the turnt over porta loos.We later found out that the circus tent had been struck by lightnig an one of the dance tents roofs collapsed under the weight of the water on it .A you would emagine with all that rain the whole sight was a total mud bath and when i woke up the next morrning i had a boot full of mud.So first thing i whent and got some good all wellies (another ten quid down the drain) I exspect your thinking that sound like a load of s*** but!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
no it was f***ing awesome
Any way im off to hungery and then serbbia next week for another festival hopferly ,ill come back alive and i let you know what it was like .Thats all my holiday used up now untill christmas ........s***
Kathryn
Hello you, hope that you are ok I am really looking forward to seeing you in 3 weeks time however it still seems too far away at the moment. Going shopping on Saturday with Naomi and Kelly to get the final bits and pieces for the holiday so will then just the packing and the spending money to sort out. I hope that the weather is a bit better for you and not pouring with rain, hopefully Cairns will be warm as knowing my luck it will rain!!! Work is quite quiet at the moment but I am enjoying sorting out all the stuff for the recruitment part of the website so thats something to do, am going to an anti-smoking at work session tomorrow as Dawn can't go and she wants to find out a bit about it so its a day out of the office. Have been looking into evening classes that I could do to keep myself busy - am still trying to find a cookery course but not having much luck might do a course on archiology but not quite sure at the moment. Thought about doing rock climbing down at Calshot but not really sure. Got a couple of chapters left of Harry Potter so will then be on to the next one, really need to get up to speed before I come out so that I can bring the other one back once you have read it.
Poppy is ok she seems to have lost her winter coat and is going a little bit lighter, shes lost a little bit of fat around her tummy so thats good, she still seems to think that she is a dog as she wants loads of attention but that is good as she reminds me of you (because you bought her for me) and it gives me something to do.
Got my management report mark back today get 52% which is ok hopefully will pass the exams so will know in 3 weeks time.
Going to go back to reading Harry Potter talk to you tomorrow.
Love you loads
Kathryn xxx

We are slowly making our way up towards fraiser islkand at the moment which is a big snad dune island with pritty much nothinng on it at all, other than the dingos, which are about the same size as a wolf. You wouldn't believe it but theyu were said to have pulled a small kid off the other day and eaten him, pritty sick. so whats going on back home anything?? at all?

Shane
WOZ ON THEN!!!!! ok quite alot to fill you in on. I am in Perth at the moment. We travelled over on a train called the Idian Pacific, it took 3 days to get here and the distance is the equivelent of you getting on a tran and going to the end of Russia. I have left Sydney now, i am currently staying at ads uncles house. This is my first full day here so not much to report as of now other than you can pick up a 3 bed house for arround 60,000 pounds; England really is a f***ing rip off!!!! As for the opera house in sydney, yeah we went to see a show called nothing but the truth. Was really good, it was a propper performance not a silly musical or nothing, i really enjoyed it. was about a south african familly and the police corruption, it actually won an award recently. Cant believe how much i have got used to just moving arround and seeing things, really is the life. I am ponly here for another 11-12 days then i will be flying back to brisbane then making my way up north where the reef is. so will go snorkeling and that then and see all the fish, sharks, whales etc.. Ok i gotta go now so speak to you later
