Hola amigos y familia,

Have been staying in a little fishing village called Taganga, just a few kilometres from Santa Marta. Great place, mainly because we have a room right on the beach (8 quid per night), the weather is great and the seafood is fantastic (and ridiculously cheap).

Just finished our PADI dive course which we had never got round to doing. Pretty laid back course, Colombian style! No theory and no practice dives, just straight in to the ocean and 8 dives later we have our PADI Open Water certificates! We didn´t even have to do a test! When we finally received our PADI text books they were in Spanish. Oh well, we can read enough to get by! Both loved the course though and the instructors were great, great weather, and good diving.

Hard to leave Taganga, but will probably make our way to Cartagena tomorrow for a week or so before we head to Panama.
