Greetings from Belize!

Just arrived in Belize City. Seems like a whole different part of Central America - english speaking and lots of dark skinned african caribbeans!

Yesterday we spent the day exploring the Tikal ruins in Guatemala. Definitely the most impressive Mayan ruins - a huge site surrounded by jungle and an early morning start (ie there by 6.15am) allowed us to wander around the site and watch various types of monkeys and try and spot some of the 300 odd species of birds! BUT, NO MORE RUINS! This computer doesn't allow us to upload photos so they will folow soon.

Tomorrow we head to the island Caye Caulker, home to some world famous diving such as the photo attached. Looking forward to the beach again and pretty happy that we have two more weeks on the coast before heading back towards London.
