School life at bode
Alright so today I am going to attempt to tell you all about my marvelous first week at bode. I have made so many phenomenal friends, and the sense of community here is so inspiring.
The first day was kind of hectic, meeting my (fantastic) room mates, and getting to know one hundred brand new faces and names. It was sort of intimidating but now I am so close with all these wonderful people. It was one of those things where I was so excited yet also very concerned. But all those concerns went away within twenty four hours.
We are awaken every morning by a dance party. (I of course am a part of that dance party and it is a legit time. See the video on Facebook. You won't be surprised) then we have a wonderful breakfast, and some lectures. The lectures are so great! I am just so thirsty for what everyone has to say! And then we have lunch and free time. Free time consists of the afternoon where we go biking, kayaking, play Dutch blitz, take trips to medieval town and just hang out. I have made so many wonderful friends. The guys and gals here are so rad. It's just a constant gong show!! We have the greatest time. It is pretty much the cats pajamas. After free time we have dinner! It's delectable, and then we either have two lectures or a music night or time with our K groups. (Family groups) every day is kind of different. ALTHOUGH IT IS RAD. We have barbecues out in the orchard, and we also have had just amazing weather!
God is totally just providing in so many ways here. Yesterday we all went to this awesome cafe, and then after we got back a whole group of us decided to sit in a circle and tell our testimonies. We all got so close, and once the dinner bell rang we continued sharing at dinner, and then again after our lectures. God just worked in so many ways. I have some super legit friends from California, Arizona, Manitoba, BC, Germany and just all over the world. There is even a super legit guy from South Korea! It's been such an amazing experience. It's hard to believe its only been seven days since I walked into this beautiful place and I can't wait to see what else God has planned for me and everyone else at this place.
I've been talking to my family and such, but I'm definitely not home sick yet! The nice thing is I can talk to them whenever over iMessage and such. Yeah. Life here is so great. These people all have a thirst to learn and to grow. It's going to be a great six months and I'm just stoked for every single day that is to come! Like tomorrow. Going to the Swiss alps? Yeah. It's going to be the coolest thing Ever!!! Gah!
Well I love and miss y'all ( unless you're reading this at bode. Then I just love you. Or if your a randie who just stumbled upon this site. Anyway...)
Life is great and I hope you use today to grow closer to those you love and our Lord and Savior.
Stay classy.
