Surf camp - Sydney to Byron Bay 5 days intense surfing conditions due to cyclone Larry. Great swells & parties. Best way to describe the surf camp experience: wake up @ 7:00 am, get ready for surfing by 8:00 am, surf for a couple of hours (sometimes the dolphins join us too), eat lunch, sleep on the beach a couple of hours, surf again in the afternoon, go to base camp, hot showers, dinner, lots of drinking & partying till 2-3 am, go to bed. REPEAT 5 times. What can I say? such a great time. Byron Bay is pretty nice. A typical Aussie surf town with lots of cool cafes and pubs. I think that I've gone out every night since ST. Patty's day, which makes it about 10-11 nights in a row of partying. Good life!! The people of surf camp were great as well. Loved the crowd. Hanging out with a couple of them now. Going to Surfer's Paradise together on Wednesday. Surfer's is a very touristy area of the Gold Coast...I'm looking forward to the nightlife & theme parks. Might do some shopping as well. Okay, gotta go to Nimbin (Aussie hippie capital :) today.
