Whilst in Melbourne we mainly stayed with Toms family as they kindly offered to let is stay with them for the week. On the first day there we went to the MCG to see an AFL game between Hawthorn and Richmond. I loved it and now understand all the rules having watched it back in England on Sky in confusion.

Over the next few days we visited Melbourne Acquarium, Melbourne Zoo and Mount Dandedong. We also visited the famous Crown Casino and on my first visit managed to come out $20 up which paid for a few beers, just unfortunate when we returned a few days later and ended up $30 down, but never mind.

We also hired a car for 2 days, an amazing gold Hyundai Accent, but it did a job. We drove down the great ocena road for about 300km to a town called Port Campbell and stayed there over night in a hostel by the beach. The next moring we drove back to Melbourne via the inland route which takes you through some forrest, but i much preferred the drive down, the views were spectactular and we stopped off at the 12 Aposolls for quite a few photographs.

Once back in Melbourne we went to another AFL game at the MCG between Collingwood and Hawthron, i supported Collingwood and we got thrashed but it was a great game all the same and we then went out in Melbourne for a few beers.

On our last day in Melbourne we went on the Neighbours tour and visited Ramsay street. We got to meet an ex cast member, the evil Dr Darcy and then in the evening we went to the Neighbours night where Dr Karl Kennedy's bank played and we also got to meet a few our cast members (Stuart parket, Connor and Janelle). Was a really cheesy but funny night.

And then we were off to Sydney.......
