Temang (2400) to Koto (2600)
MI: we were joined in the dinning room last night by with some Gerkars from the British Army here on holiday. Little fellas but didn't want to point that out to them!
The accommodation was the best yet, with the rooms all timber lined, although you could hear the neighbours speaking (and snoring). Swiss Chalet like, with less insulation.
We woke to a 2 degrees morning, and our -10 sleeping bags purchased in pokhara had surprisingly worked. We watched the sun rise over the peak of Manaslu at 8163m, one of the ten 8000+ peaks in the world. We actually get to see three of them on the trek. Chilly until the sun rose and then the thermometer raced to 28 degrees! Cause some confusion as to what to wear on our short trek today.
JB: only two hours today to Koto so a pretty jovial crew. Gained about 200m but again a fair bit of up and down so a good early morning workout.
Arrived at our overnight tea house and had lunch and a quiet time then have walked another half hour up the road to Chame to get Internet coverage and update blog.
This will be our last entry for about a week as tomorrow we go up the Nar Phu valley which has not phone, Internet or power so will be a step back in time for a week.
Take care everyone until we next update!

Rhonda Trousers were obviously far too heavy for John's pack and knowing it would be highly unlikely to encounter fashion police along the way, John figured that long-johns as trousers would be acceptable!
Mary Ann Love reading your Blog Harm... sounds great and takes me back 20+ years - doesn't look like much has changed!
