KT2020 You seem to have been confused about the location and situation of Chhairo and the refugee camp. The village of Chhairo is south of Marpha and the refugee camp, amongst apple orchards. Coming from Marpha, you crossed the footbridge and the first thing you see is the Chhairo Tibetan refugee camp - still inhabited by about 200 people, many of whom have souvenir shops in Marpha. The land was given to the refugees by families of Chhairo, and the buildings are all made of stone and whitewashed, and enclosed by a boundary wall. Right next to the refugee camp is Chhairo gompa, the first Nyingma gompa established in Mustang. You can then turn off for the path to Chimang, or carry on along the river and you will pass the derelict concrete buildings which are said to have been used by Kuomintang groups. Eventually you reach Chhairo, where there is a small school with a large chorten outside, but the village is now barely inhabited.

The ladies felt so cold and we couldnt figure out how cold it was. Now we know... Sadly, you didnt see the snowprints of a naked guy running around on the top... cheers

No photos of them yet (that I can find) so maybe just hallucinations and another effect of altitude! Crices cake looked real enough.
