Hi All,Have been having a blast for the last couple of weeks, done the South Island and now heading back towards Auckland and a flight to Fiji. We went to Nelson and watched All Blacks wallop Australia in a local Sports Bar. It was a very entertaining evening and I can see why there's such big rivalry! The Ozzie girls in our group were entirely unimpressed! I ended the night unimpressed too as Liverpool beat Utd and I was abused by everyone!! Even had to a buy a drink for a Liverpool fan...NOT happy! After Nelson we headed to Greymouth and a superb brewery tour where they actually let us behind the pumps for 20 mins of free beer! Silly, silly brewery man. Great fun though!Next stop was Franz Josef and the famous Franz Josef glacier. We were supposed to helicopter to the middle and hike down but due to crap weather we had to hike the whole way! It was WELL worth it though. One of the coolest (Geddit, glacier…cool??) things I've done in NZ so far. We dressed up like explorers and even had to put crampons on our feet! We literally climbed up the glacier and came down but the views were fab. After Franz Josef was the best week in NZ so far, Queenstown. We booked to stay 5 days and loved every minute of it. The drive down from Franz Josef was stunning, some of the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen and even the hangovers didn't stop us from taking one million pictures! We were staying in a lakefront hostel and the views were awesome. We spent a lot of time wandering around and shopping for the first few days and on the third day we went to Milford Sound. Myself and Daren swapped Greenstone jewellery which involved dipping it in the lake for good luck overseas. Very sweet! I got a bracelet and got him a fern necklace. Friday though was the highlight of my entire trip so far! We nicknamed it "Freaky Funday Friday"! I started the day with a 15000 foot skydive over the most BEAUTIFUL place ever (Geez you were so right). The 60 second freefall went in what felt like 10 seconds and the buzz was unreal! After the skydive we needed more adrenaline so decided to do the highest bungy in Australasia…134 metres off a cable car in the middle of a canyon. Awesome. We had to get a little car on a wire to the centre and then all stay in the main car to jump out of. I never thought I could do one and was so excited afterwards! I couldn't give myself anytime to think about jumping so after I was strapped up I literally walked to the edge and lept! It therefore looked very cool and as if I was completely chilled about the whole situation...I wasn't!! The day just got better after that as we had 2 birthdays in our group and two of our friends were leaving so we had planned a surprise party for them in the evening. We all wore silly masks, had a classy buffet (Seriously!) and gave them famed pictures of TEAM MAGIC as presents! As you may have guessed the rest of the evening was not quite as classy but was VERY good fun! We left Queenstown on Sunday and headed to Dunedin where we didn't leave the hostel!! We had a balcony, beautiful weather and a box of wine! As well as the Utd Chelski game on TV so it was all good! After that we went to Lake Tekapo and decided we needed a quiet night in! So we clubbed together and made the best roast dinner (for 10 people) mainly thanks to Lara but I reckon it was a good team effort! We actually had an early night and headed to Christchurch the next morning. That's where I am now, we went for dinner last night as we were losing 4 more of Team Magic and now we're down to 5!! Only a week or so left in NZ now and I have to say I've had a FANTASTIC time. Mainly because of the brilliant people I've met, we clicked from day one and it's been a cracking few weeks. If you've managed to stay awake through that blog well done! I think it was the longest one yet. Will update again before I go to Fiji which is in a week and a bit, sea, sun and sand. Choice!Selxx
