Hi all,
Saw the Iguazu falls and WOW is all I can say. They really were as spectacular as you think they´ll be. We walked around the national park for a good 5 hours, breaking up the walking with an insane ride in a motorised dinghy! It took us right under the falls and we got SOAKED! Very amusing and really quite cool. We left Puerto Iguazu that night and got an overnight bus to Buenos Aires. We thought we´d treat ourselves to a Cama bus which basically means the seats recline much more than what we had been on before. It was like being a pop star on tour! Very comfy and the best night´s sleep I´ve had in ages!
We´re in Buenos Aires now and it´s awesome. Went to the most bizarre tourist site yesterday which was a cemetary in Recolleta. Basically if you´re anyone of importance you get buried here and it´s like a mini neighbourhood! Each person or family has what looks like a little house and all the coffins are just piled in! Bizarre. We saw Evita´s tomb and are hoping to head to the Evita museum today.
One last thing, went to the BEST restaurant in the WORLD last night. Wendy´s friend recommended it and I´m now in love with him! 50 pesos (Less than a tenner) for all you can eat everything! Sushi, hot/cold salad bar, fish section, pizza, pasta, big parilla (Slabs of meat on a grill) and the best dessert buffet I´ve ever seen. Needless to say we will be heading back there on Thursday night as it´s Wendy´s last night (Boo hoo)!
That´s all for now, going to Chile on Friday and then from there next stop New Zealand.
Hope all is well with you all
