sun 11th july Did some sun bathing in the morning and then travelled to Melaka. Is an amazingly cute place :) stayed around china town which is full of quaint and quirky guesthouses and shops.I held a massive yellow snake :) and then we went to the night market and bought some immense gifts :) This morning had dim sum for breakfast. YEY! (made me and son very happy). then spent the day wandering around melaka-saw all of melaka from the revolving tower and visit...

Went to see the Batu caves 13km from KL. Was amazing to see... saw the largest hindu statue in the world at the entrance to the cave. The temples in the caves were absolutely surrounded by monkeys!!- normally wouldn't have been phased but after Siem reap we were very wary of them :) Set off to port d*** on in the afternoon. Was pretty disappointing. only found one hostel amongst the clusters of expensive resorts, which was disgusting- filthy squat toilets...

So after a shockingly funny (and at times scary) night boat, several mini buses and one fancy coach later we arrived to Kuala Lumpur. So far loving it here. Everyones so friendly even including the people at the border control who normally are very grumpy :) Had a walk around KL today, visited a mosque (where we got to wear some fetching angelic purple gowns) and the butterfly park.
