I have to say that over my months of travelling there is one place which I KNEW was going to cost me a small fortune… and that it did… A small part of my heart (the part that finds shopping a very acceptable and cathartic hobby!) will always live in NYC particularly around sale time… When Esta first suggested to me that I consider going there for Thanksgiving I thought it would be a lovely way to experience a new part of New York and the culture of America...

Switzerland is the land of clocks, and the land where everything runs on time. We (B, Lin, DT, Jay and Spalding) were heading over for Antje's 30th and had been lucky enough to have most things prearranged. Lin had worked out the train tickets for us to get to the airport in London, and from Zurich to Bern, Antje had worked out all the accommodation for us, splitting us up between various family members, and online checkin was done… all in all - things were set...

I'm on the train on the way home from Cornwall, where I had a weekend which definitely made up for the streak in the lead up to it. DEC 27 - 28 - GLASGOW After our false start from the morning before, we decided to make an early run for it, and not risk missing the train.
