It's been a few days since the last update, but spending 32 hours on a bus can really make it tough to find something to write about… lol. Although I can tell you that we haven't showered since Saturday and we're now quite a few days from there… lol I've finally hit my peak with sweet food though… the locals here seem to be obsessed with sugar, and it goes into EVERYTHING! This is just a quick note to talk once again about the food!!!! Well, maybe I´ll start with last nights debacle... hehehe Kirbs and I headed off to meet up with Joe and Em, and had a chat to our taxi driver on the way... there are no discos or anything open here atm due to the swine flu and peak of winter they´re trying to contain it... Kirbs and I started off with a drink (and attempted to eat some more food, very unsuccessfully!) which was the strongest long...

Mendoza is my new happy place... compared to Santiago the food has been amazing. I don't think I will ever find another place in South America with food like this... After a 7 hour bus drive out of Santiago with Andesmar we made it into Argentina and into Mendoza. A special mention right now to the bus... As soon as we got on we got lollies, then tea and coffee (NOTE everything in South America comes inundated with sugar - diet Coke here is sweeter than normal c...

So - somehow Kirbs and I managed to find each other at the airport and we were off to a good start... there was a bit of a scare though when we didn't know if Kirbs' bag was going to arrive...I've been VERY lucky with 3 of my 4 flights so far giving me 2-3 seats to myself so there has been LOTS of stretching out! We got out of the airport and were deciding whether to get the bus (and how to do that) when a lovely local man came and told us about his minibus... t...

After many tears at the airport (most of them mine!!) I finally made it onto the plane. There was a period in time (an hour before we left to get there) that I wasn't even sure if I was going to be getting there seeing as I had yet to pack and get everything in... lol. Typical... VERY typical... The plane ride was LONG but smooth (ignoring the turbulence and getting stuck in Abu Dhabi cause of fog even though it was 30 degrees at 9am...) and I was feeling a litt...
