Avoiding Death, Disease and Diarrhoea
On Fraser Island the worlds largest sand island.
This places means paradise in aboriginal which i think is a good comparison! We visited Rainbow Gorge, Red canyonand Cathedrals coloured sands which as you can guess are all coloured sands! Next was the Maheno shipwreck on the beach which was awesome to look at, a bit rusted tho. Indian Head was a sheer cliff face that over looked Champagne Pools where we could see Sharks, Manta Rays and Turtles swimming in the crystal clear waters and out into the Pacific Ocean. We then got the chance to swim down Eli Creek which is a pure fresh water creek that flows out to the beach. Its was cold but really refreshing when all you have been swimming in is salt water. Lake Wabby was next on the list, we had soo much fun jumped down the huge sand dunes, you could tell we were the youngest on our tour!!!
The next day we ventured in land to walk throught the forests looking at all the wildlife down Wanggoolba creek to see the king ferns (Dino food), then it was the turn of Lake McKenzie. It was great to swim in crystal clear waters and pure white silica sand and we were miles inland, its a crazy place. Then we drove down 75 mile beach to leave the island!
