So we arrived got our bed and went for a look around the town. Originally we wanted to do the mine tour on Monday but it was closed so it would have to wait. More time for me to get nervous and flap about it as I really really f***ing hate tight in closed spaces I act like a t*** in a lift so it was fair to say i was not looking forward to it. We got some food in a local cafe where my love for coffee blossomed even more. We had a wonder there was a church service going on out side. The building was amazing filled with fantastic lights, after the service a Christian rock band played and that was our cue to leave plus it was f***ing freezing. We went back to try and socialise but really didn't fit in the people all looked like eco warriors who needed a wash and it was to much hard work so I retired to my bed to read.
The next day he did a lot of drinking coffee, reading, Skypeing, watching football and generally wasting the day. I would have loved to go for a run so I didn't think I was wasting the day but in this altitude it just wouldn't happen.
I was still really unsure about going down this f***ing mine I wish the bloody thing didn't exist but it did. The morning came and guess what I flapped it there's something's people can't do and this was mine. I felt like a p**** but what can you do I'm glad it's over I can't go back in time and now I can look forward to everything else on the trip.
The next day was from to say the least. We left the hostel at 11.15 to get the bus at midday. At the time we didn't realise there was too bus stations and our taxi driver obviously took us to the wrong one. By the time we realised we had ten minutes to make it we dived in a taxi and missed the bus by two minutes which takes the piss because nothing in Bolivia happens on time. So we had to wait 6 hours in a Bolivian s*** tip, we found an Internet cafe and waited there. When our bus turned it was obviously late and it took f***ing ages to lad the bus. Bolivians were carrying loads n loads of s***. Anyway we were off to begin our salt flat adventure.
