To infinaty and beyond...

Day 27 - 31/10/09 - Xi'an (China)

Today was mostly spent relaxing as we have been on the go so much and our bodies needed a break.

We walked to a nearby shopping centre for lunch were we had Hawaiian pizza, which also included banana - this was suprising tasty. It should also be noted that this is the first meal we remember where Jess has eaten more than Scotty!!

This afternoon we watched Toy Story in Chinese, which was very strange but also good to see something familiar as most movies on the hotel TVs have been Chinese.

Our hotel restaurant has Hot Pot dinners and it was recommended by our guide Andrew, so we decided we would try it tonight as it was our last night in Xi'an. It proved difficult to know what we were meant to be doing due to the language barrier. We got there in the end, and had a very tasty meal - although they probably just went out the back to laugh at our cooking and eating methods.

Day 28 - 01/11/09 - Xi'an & Chengdu (China)

After breakfast, we went for walk around the inner city. We found a nice little street market, and about 7 flower shops all in a row.

We stopped at a restaurant for lunch before Andrew transferred us to the station for our sleeper train to Chengdu. The train departed at 5:30pm and we are due to arrive in Chengdu at 11:00am tomorrow morning. We have filled in the day with Canasta and playing our DS games.

The train journey feels like it is going to be longer than expected as we keep stopping. It almost feels like we have been stopped more than we have been moving.
