So we begin our final leg back to Western Australia, heading through Ceduna for last minute needs and the adventures of the Nullarbor, a first for me and a second for Mal since his childhood.
The temp is pretty hot and the wind ferocious we stop and look at the Bunda Cliffs planning maybe to stay the night however not suitable we drive for another 20kms to find a track and head up to spend a great night in the bush with nature at its best!
We are now only 40 kms to the WA border and the Eucla townsite.
We stop 13kms out of Eucla to take in another beautiful lookout .
We arrive at the border, complete our quarantine check, refuel and enjoy a great breakfast before strolling around the historic old Telegraph post. We then pass through Mundrabilla, Madura Pass, Cocklebiddy and Caiguna and finally on the longest straight stretch of road measuring 146.6kms give or take :). it was a great experience driving the Nullarbor and glad that we had done it.
We find comfort at Baxters rest area for the night.
We are on our final pathway and after a night at Yerdani Well we continue into WA, we are heading through Norseman, Coolgardie and then to York via Cunderdin our final night on the road before we arrive back at number 23 Osmaston Road, Carine and of course to our beautiful family.
It was an incredible 7 months on the road, seeing some amazing places, meeting lovely people and enjoying our travelling time. Whilst we saw a lot there is still so much more to explore and looking forward to our next adventure whereever in the world it takes us.
