We were on the road by 8.30am and on our way to Port Lincoln to have a minor repair done on the fridge, we stopped in to have a look at Tumby Bay and what a beautiful place a definate must stay at place another time and wished we had driven the distance instead of staying at Arno Bay.
Arriving in Port Lincoln the rain met us and it was getting stormy, after a nice walk around and breakfast in town we collected the van and headed off the short distance to Coffin Bay which we have marked as our next stay.
Coffin Bay - well maybe not, quite disappointed with the town and it all seemed a bit tired and boring even the coastline was not particulary attractive so we decided as we had plenty of time we would push on and maybe stay at a small town called Elliston.
The skies are growing greyer as the day goes on, we are about 7kms out of Elliston when we come across Nationdale Bush Camping and enter the property by 2 large gates with a Stork and Penguin on poles greeting us. We drive for about 2 kms and come across the donations tin, it is a Keg, good to see it being put to good use and dropped in our donation. We find a great flat spot amongst the bushland and set up camp and then the rain set in, we had lightening and thunder rolling and it was a fantastic afternoon and with a great fire burning by the evening.
The next morning we decided to stay another night in this quiet, isolated bush camp as it is was a little paradise. Another rested night and the realisation that our next destination would be our last longest stay as we are homeward bound and the whiff of the west is calling us. We dont have a big drive the next day but a few tourist sites to have a look at and then into Streaky Bay.
