We headed into Borroloola as we need to get the exhaust pipe checked and also an opportunity to do some restocking and some washing and we have decided to go along the Savannah Way to Burketown instead of doing the trip into Cape Crawford down to Barkly Highway and then into Qld via Camooweal.
We arrived in the town pretty quiet and headed to the caravan park. We head to the Grill Resturant for the Sunday roast and it is great because we can walk there and back from our caravan.
Mal takes the car to a well reputed garage in town and by 2pm it has been spot welded and with Mal's bush mechanics still in place is good to go.
That night we head back to the Grill for another lovely meal and set our pathway for somewhere along the Savannah for an overnight stopover the next night.
Features of Borroloola none!!!!! It is a sad community and again bound by the drinking issues. Ugh!!
A bit like the old saying the best thing about it is watching it through rear vision mirro as you leave town.
Bye for now from the Great Outdoors
