Well our first short visit out of Darwin was Adelaide River a quaint spot with load of history, a small market was on and I bought a yummy homemade Mango fruit cake and some NT prawns.
We refuelled and visited the War Memorial, a spectacular rememberance to our war veterans and civilians affected by the Darwin bombing, it is the 3rd largest War Memorial in Australia and a must see on anyone travels.
As we had been to the Military Museum we were aware of the history and the impact it had on the town, especially the civilians who perished at the Post Office who are all buried in this peaceful and beautiful place.
Check out the photos as it was quite a special place to visit.
That night we stayed at Emerald Springs a great o/n spot and we were the only caravaners in the place. We enjoyed a nice meal and found our Grey Nomad wine LOL.
Next stop Mataranka - and then Larrimah and Daly Waters.
Really heading into the great outdoors
