It seems like your journey is never ending - looks fantastic! Hope you are both well. Jeff and I are settling into life in NZ .... taking a bit of time as we miss our travels soooo much. Both got jobs and all that boring stuff but we're loving being back around all our friends again!! Hope you make it to NZ soon and don't forget to get in touch if you're in Wellington.
Take care

YA BEAUTY!!! Well Eric you asked me in your email what happened to my response to Mr Orr's boastful comments about the Hibee supporting Glaikit Twins reaching the number 1 spot in the charts.
Well it took a little longer than I anticipated but here it is.............. In fact I was very glad the excellent deluded duo had their success despite supporting the Devil's Spawn down Easter Road way. But come on there's no much competiton these days and you only need to sell about 22 copies in a row (that 'magic' number!!!) to top the charts.
And aye alright Hibs won a cup but it winsae the REAL cup that we won in 2006 ..........it was the Scottish Diddy Cup. But lets get back to the issue in question.
Firstly I've nae idea who Jackie Dennis was!!! Maybe he was around at the time of the Hibs forward line.....the Famous Five... or was it Five Boys or Five Star ???.... centuries ago but I can counter Mr Orr's proud boasts about Hibees being the toppermost of the poppermost.
Long before the specky duo's chart success, in January 1975, a Jambo was flying high in the charts and soared to the #1 spot. Yes this Maroon Baron and his wonderful handclapping band - Pilot - blitzkreiged the charts with his with his bombastic song 'January'.
You could say they were a 'runway' success.
So I hand you over to Squadron Leader Davie 'Magic' Paton to put and end to this dog fight and send you into a tail spin into Leith docks.
Hi Jim
I thought you would have known I am a Jambo and saw Hearts stuff the Hibees 2 nil last month. I also produced the new version of The Hearts song last year and it's on sale at the mechandise store. Great pleasure for me to play at Tynecastle when we won the cup last year too and sung Oh ho ho it's Magic, you know, 22 wins in a row. I too have a Hibee pal who does all that winding up stuff, but we're above all that and Jembo's tend to except wins with reserved pride and defeats with dignity. Good to know you like the music too, good on ya. Have a look at www.davidpatonsongs.com for up to the minute info and the studio diary page is always up to date. Thanks for writing. Regards Davie
I REST MY CASE and let me assure you this has left more than 'just a smile' on my face.

Weel Min and MinessBeen a whiley since I checked out the Scottfree site and must say I was delighted to see you had revamped it to show the photies as showreels. It was just like being at a Ramblers meeting circa 1967 when Bob Meikle or Tooty Thomson set up the old Kodak slide projector and showed their slides from the Salzburg school trip on the fusty old bed sheet hung from the blackboard.Must say a VERY SINSIBLE thing to do and as my wrist disnae get so sore clicking on all these super snaps of antipodean road signs, pubs and sunsets. Still waiting to see a wallaby or did I miss that one. "Wallaby????" i hear you ask. Thanks very much I'll have a glass of Jacobs Creek cobber!!! Byraway there's a classsic photo of your van in the SW Australia shots where it looks like it has a face on the side. Check it out. And no I haven't had a swally. It looks like a character from the movie CARS.Anyway enough of that nonsense. Glad to see you are still having fun and enjoying the experience of a lifetime. Thanks also for the phone call it was a wondeful surprise. And so was the phone bill when I discovered you had reversed charges.Life goes on here in Blighty. A Salmon and a Sturgeon have taken over the country so its quite the plaice to be right now. Cod only knows how they will do. We-eel just have to sea. Some say its a bream come true but I think someone piked their drinks. Enough of me carping on. By the way have you seen Scampy yet, sorry I mean Skippy?Happy trails

Dear Eric and Margaret
We are just back home after a very enjoyable hol. in Coylumbridge. The weather was a bit mixed but it didn't stop us having a few really nice walks and visits to our favourite haunts. We were joined by Sarah Steven Jessica and Elliott on the Thursday and that was great fun with a visit to Landmark and the water slides (not for me) and a trip on the Steam train.
We are now thinking about our trip to Madeira ( we go off two weeks on Sunday) and are really looking forward to exploring somewhere new.
Our decorating is now completely finished thank goodness, so we are fee to spend all our time holidaying!
Enjoyed all your latest news and pictures.
love Dot and Ron.xxx

Hello!
Thought I would drop you a message to let you know we are all enjoying and following all your blogs and photos _ keep 'em coming! I much prefer viewing the pictures on the slideshow and the videos are fun. We log on regularly to see where you are and what you have been up to.
Craig thanks you for all the information about Australia, it was a huge help for his homework that week when he had to list 5 facts! He will e-mail if he needs more info- thanks.
Craig told you that he has started guitar lessons and doing well. However in August Cammy starts the violin!!!! NOt so sure how that will go! I can still see playing football as a priority to him over violin practice!
Love to you both and be in touch again soon,
Susan, Bruce,Craig and Cameron xxxx

Just followed all your photographs from Tasmania onwards to Esperance via our big atlas. There are some wonderful photos but why so many of Scurdie Ness and the Elephant Rock ? I liked the black greens. Quite like Ravelston except we only rake the bunkers ! I can't remember when you phoned. Time seems to fly past. Are you going all round the coast ? Watch out for the sharks.
You've probably played more golf than me. I hurt my arm playing badminton but am fit again for a game with Jim Bird tomorrow and 2 games of golf for later in the week (weather permitting). It's been a pretty warm spring and the garden is like a jungle. We've got our new enviromower which is big in Oz & NZ I believe.
Well, chin up - don't let the daily grind of touring get you down. We'll look out for your next tranche of photos which we'll follow with the atlas. Bye for now.
Rob, Julie & Hannah
We hope you're both well - certainly looks like it from the photos.
Glad to see you two are still keeping your site upto date and we especially love the new video section. Keep 'em coming!!
Well here we are, 10 days into our new abode in Lower Kingswood, and our internet broadband connection is up and running - wey hey!!
Jim & Pam have gone on holiday and left us babysitting the Peugeot. Not sure if thats because they wanted to try out our new drive for size, or maybe because we have hijacked Jim's garage with excess furniture from the house move!!
Our new neighbours all seem very nice indeed and Hannah has alreadxy madfe friends with the two little gils who live next door. I predict not seeing much of her this summer. We'll undoubtedly spend alot of time enticing her away from next doors garden!
Although we had to go back to work for a week after the move, we now have a few days off and the big change to Hannahs bedroom has commenced. AFter day 1, she now has one wall a deep pink (called 'sexy pink') and 3 walls a much lighter more subtle shade. She also has a brand new bed which is huge which she may well feel a little lost in to begin with, but I'm sure she'll love. Tomorrow will see the rest of her new furniture being assembled. She might even be able to spend her first night in it tomorrow.
After finishing Hannahs room, we're planning to spend a couple of days tidying up the gardens and then enjoying the "Robs big 40" weekend....
Anyway...enough for now. Keep having fun and letting us know what youre up to.
Speak soon.
Love
Rob, Julie and Hannah

I am currently hanging my shame at being named on your latest blog for being the only person not to send birthday wishes to Margaret. I'm sorry! I swear I don't do it on purpose! There is clearly something wrong with my brain that makes me remember and then rapidly forget this kind of thing. I hope you had a lovely day. Infact, I know you did as I read it on your blog.
By the way, what's this about thinking about where to have your "Summer holiday" this year?! Have I missed the whole point of this 2 years away?!
Oh, and Merry Christmas (just in case I forget nearer the time).
