Today we slept pretty late because we had a long night. We managed to get out of our place and hit the Heineken Brewery for a tour and tastings. Before that, we do have to mention that Amsterdam redeemed itself on the food because we stopped in at a local eatery and had amazing sandwiches. Anyway, after the brewery we walked in the rain to the Van Gogh museum and as we were entering Kyle eager to check out everything asks a lady who works there, "Is the Mona Lisa here?"- she looks at him dumbfounded and says "ugh, no. The Mona Lisa is in Paris." Bummed, we go looking through every floor for the Starry Night... Not there either. It wasn't until we got home later that night and did some research that Mona Lisa was painted by Da Vinci... Who would have thought? :) We thoroughly enjoyed the museum none the less. After the museum we were hungry again so on our walk back to the city center we stopped at Hard Rock Cafe that sat on a canal and had a great view. We didn't want to take our chances on late night food anywhere (all the food at the late night markets look so fake it's scary) and we knew Hard Rock was an easy choice. Later we had a late night coffee and talked for hours as we people watched. Times like these are unforgettable.
