We landed in Amsterdam and immediately LOVED this place. There are bicycles everywhere and the bus stops right at our BNB and takes us directly into the city center. We checked into our place around 4pm and then spent the rest of the evening/night exploring the town. The canal systems are so gorgeous and the streets are lined with coffee shops and cafes (and yes there is a difference.) Bike paths are paved all over the town and these guys go zooming by on scooters full speed so it adds an element of "keep your eyes peeled" to it all. We had to check out the Red Light District and Sarah just hated it :) But honestly, we were bummed how commercial it was ran, but the whole experience added to Amsterdam nonetheless. We are 0 for 3 on finding good places to eat so hopefully today makes up for it. The Van Gogh museum and maybe the Heineken brewery tour are on the list so it should be another great day abroad!
