Lovely waking up in the cottage. Celeste and Alex off to play outside with the big dog, Patch. The owner, Alex, printed off some Google map instructions for us to visit nearby Carcassone. Had a great visit to the town, including the markets, a walk across the very old pedestrian bridge and, of course, the castle. What a beauty! Wandered around for quite a while. Lots to see. Beautiful church where it looked like someone about to get married with guests starting to arrive. Lots of shops and restaurants had set up inside. Off back to the cottage looking out for a place to eat on our way back. Should have eaten at Carcassone because even though 3pm on a Saturday afternoon, all restaurants close until approx 6.30. Also most shops not open on a Sunday. Even supermarket only open in the morning. Spent the night watching a DVD.
