Ok so I lie... I'm not in the UK now, I'm back at Georgia Tech, but the website doesn't have US as an option. So I apologize that it's been so long since I've updated... As soon as I have some free time I'll let you know about the rest of my time in Oxford and weekend side trips. For now I'll just say I definetely had the BEST SUMMER EVER!!

We made it to Oxford safe and sound about 3 weeks ago. (Yeah I'm a little behind). Oxford University is actually a collection of 39 colleges spread out over the city of Oxford. My college, Worcester (pronounced "wooster", not sure why) is absolutely beautiful. When you enter through the main gate and pass through the first set of buildings (the cloisters), you immediately see the main quad. This is an area of "sacred grass" maybe 50 feet long by 50 feet wide...

Today is our final day in continental Europe-- we leave for Oxford tomorrow morning. Barcelona passed by in a blur of activity! I think at this point it rivals Paris as being my favorite city so far. I probably walked more in Barcelona than anywhere else, just because there is so much to see everywhere. Just got into Barcelona last night. Spent the last couple of days in Florence, Italy. Our schedule was so jam-packed, I didn't get the chance to update. Florence was amazing though. It's actually in the Tuscan region, so we saw many beautiful rolling hills on the drive in. Saw just about every museum in the city. My favorite piece was Michelangelo's David-- it's 10 feet tall, plus it's up on a pedestal so it looks so much taller! Also saw tons of Renaissan...

Spent the past 3 days in Rome. We were told this city was as big as NYC. I believe it. Everywhere you turn, there's an ancient building. A 16th century church here, an ancient column there. Amazing.
