Walked to Kastrup Station and headed to Central Station then Line S to Kobenhavn - The Tivoli Gardens Stop where the Christiania Tour on the Hop on Hop Off Bus starts.
This tour featured:
Fisketorvet which is a huge shopping mall.
Kalebod Waves - urban centre on the waterfront
Black Diamond - public library on the waterfront.
Gammel Street
Christianshavn, the Opera House and Islands Bygge.
We hopped off the bus and had coffee and waited for the Carlsberg Tour Bus to come around. This tour passed:
The Tivoli
Planetarium
Fredericksberg Garden
Copenhagen Zoo
Carlsberg Brewery
Vesterbro Square and back to the Tivoli Gardens.
We walked to city square and boarded the Copenhagen City Train which is an old city train that takes you around some of the best spots of the old part of Copenhagen medieval town which is famous for its impressive architecture and good stories.
Lunch at Hungry Jacks and then over to the Tivoli Gardens which is a famous amusement park and pleasure garden. Opened in 1843 and is the second oldest operating amusement park in the world. The gardens are spectacular with over 40 cafes, and restuarants all over the park. Tivoli is really a garden with Chinese pagodes and Japanese style water streams, mixed with flowers and fairytale atmosphere. Lots of fun rides and side shows also. We needed a drink and headed to the Dubliner past Copenhagen Cathedral. After a lovely rest and a few more drinks at the Dubliner we made our way back to Kastrup, picked up some Chinese takeaway on our way back to our hotel to rest our sore feet and plan tomorrows' activities.
