We were up at 6.30am and made our way to Oslo Central (Gardermoen Station) where we boarded an Airport Express train to Oslo airport. Our plane left Oslo Airport at 11.40am and arrived at Copenhagen Airport at 12.50pm. We were flying with Scandanavian Airlines, flight number SK1467. (Very basic flight, no entertainment or meals). We were told that our accomodation was a short walk, so we started to make our way to the Quality Inn Airport Dan Hotel where we were staying for the next three nights in Kastrup. It was two kilometres away and in a very old, working class suburb of Copenhagen............ The staff at the hotel were very unfriendly and very unhelpful. I asked for some tourist brochures and was told to use the internet and google websites. The hotel was full and I am sure we had the smallest room available. It was very stuffy, noisy and need of repairs. The view from our window was the dump bins. There was a conference in the hotel and the noise was very loud and the restuarant was always full. We had a late lunch at the Cafe next door called Cafe Le Perr. What a surprise, the food and service was awesome. Back to our hotel and the staff had changed, so Pete went to the front desk and asked for some assistance. He came back with tourist brochures!!! We had an early night because we were about a 40 minute train ride to the city (which we did not expect). We also did not have breakfast included in our package which was another disappointment and more money.
