Today was the first of a two day organised trip to the Mekong Delta. Leaving the hotel at 7.45 am, we got on a bus with a load of other people and travelled for two hours to Cai Be, passing loads of rice fields on the way. Today we left Cambodia and entered Vietnam. We got up early to get a public bus at 7.40am from Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh city (Saigon). Although it was a public bus it was much nicer than the last one we got with air conditioning and free bottles of water (we love free stuff!).
