Nicaragua: Isla de Ometepe, Granada, Leon The journey to Nicaragua was eventful, as we left a bag in a taxi in our rush to get the ferry to Ometepe. But the locals sprang into action to help us, and one local radio announcement later, we had the bag back with passports, camera etc all in tact! Costa Rica (cont´d): La Fortuna, Monteverde La Fortuna was a bit of a washout, as the bright sunshine of the morning turned to heavy storms and our tour to see the volcano lava and hot springs was cancelled, but then it was on to Monteverde by jeep and boat to see the cloud forests. We spent an afternoon walking in the cloud forest trying to spot wildlife (I´m sure I spotted a monkey), and today we did an amazing series of zipwire rides through the rainforest...
