Stick insect, very offended by Chris' deeted up hands. This was on a night walk through the jungle. Terrifying experience, not eased by the sight of a leech sitting on my hand about to attach itself.

Pink lemonade and croquet!! In an English Tea House right at the top of Sandakan with a view over the town and the bay scattered with lit up boats, so chilled and lovely. Proboscis monkey!! Sooooo cool! We went to Sepilok Orang-utan Rehabilitation Centre and saw lots of orang-utans and macaques, then went to the Rainforest Discovery Centre to do a canopy walk, then to the Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary, then went to the Sandakan WW2 war memorial park, all after having got up at 4:30am to catch a 40 minute flight!
