Had tea in a local village home. There was a covered platform outside beautifully decorated with mats and cushions and beautiful place settings and they served us absolutely amazing food and beer. Lovely little community where everyone knows each other, the girls gossip and laugh a lot, everyone seemed so happy, it looked like a genuinely nice place to live. Saw the sun set over the paddy fields, such a lovely evening.

First hotel, gorgeous green curry, cheap and delicious Thai beer, massive comfy bed, air con (thank god), met the tour group, who are all really friendly and interesting people, good but horribly jet lagged first day. (No free wifi, sorry Mummy x)

All goodbyes said I think, off to Mumbai! Usually airport staff are abrupt and rude but everyone here this morning has been oddly cheerful. I'm going to take that as a good omen. Chris is vibrating with excitement, just waiting to board. :)
