Hey!
So the orphanage is pretty amazing. I talked to the Cambodian/English teacher, Namee, and he was thrilled to have me stay as long as i could. So tonight, i start teaching english to 27 kids, between ages of 5-18, 6 days a week from 5-7 pm. These kids have so much energy.. i can hardly keep up. I got some pictures last night but i think i will post them about once a week since i'm there so often. They always have some kind of activity going on, firework show, dancing... that they already invited me to, so i'm sure i will be spending quite a bit of time there.
They insisted on me staying for dinner last night, which consisted of rice(lots of it), something that sort of looked like a potato and pretty sure a stray dog... or cat. Seriously... it was all cut up but some was still on bones.. and those bones were too small to be anything non domestic. I did a fine job of holding my stomach and just continued eating. When i got there... i had kids jumping all over me... hugging me... kissing me... saying.. sister, sister... wanting to show me that they could write their name in english and showing me pictures they have drawn.
Hope everyone is doing well back at home! Talk to you soon..... 153
p.s. i have no idea who Maurice is... but i have a couple people in mind to accuse of these shananigans... that's right shananigans
