I've put a couple days into this blog otherwise they would be too short. Yesterday started with me going to the Thap Ba Hot Springs and Spa. I felt yet again like the only 'Westerner in the village' as I boarded the shuttle bus to get there but got over it. Arrival at the Hot Springs was quicker than I thought it would be, however I am glad I decided against taking a motorbike and going myself as the route we took was nothing like it was displayed on the map! As well as the transport I had paid for the Mineral Mud Bath. Apparently (according to the signs everywhere) it is really good for your skin and hair...scientific studies or something but I still felt like a pig wallowing...
Half an hour later and I was fully wallowing in the mud bath, it was kind of strange but nice at the same time. Nothing like you imagine it actually just seemed like muddy water as it wasn't that thick at all. Although it is surprising how quickly this collects underneath your swimwear! Thank God for the Mineral power shower afterwards. I made it back to the hostel and had to have yet ANOTHER shower as I kept wiping mud out of my ears and I packed my bag for tomorrow. Tonight I was going back to Lanterns restaurant for dinner as it was my last night in Nha Trang. I always feel like a right Billy no mates sitting alone in a restaurant until after dinner a lady sat down at the next table and randomly started talking to me. It was then that another lady called Ruth came and sat down too and they both started chatting to me. Each of them was also a solo traveller. Ruth is from Margaret River in Western Australia and Ma Abena (excuse the spelling) is American but been living in Korea for the past 2 years. It was very nice chatting to them and I'd stalled my time in Lanterns by ordering a coffee and by the time we all left together I had been sitting there with an empty cup pretending to drink for the past 20 minutes! In the UK they'd have realised and booted you off the table before then!
We all went walking down the road and Ma Abena decided to go home after we'd been in the Booze Cruise bar and Ruth had ordered us some Tequila shots...oh dear. I think her words might have been you cannot go without getting pissed...so I did! We then went onto the Sailing Club and a couple of Jam Jars later I was definitely on way to being hammered! Dancing the night away we bumped into an Israeli guy we'd met earlier in another bar who carried a walking cane around claiming to be a pimp...we just laughed. Although somehow I vaguely remember someone betting me I couldn't get the top in my mouth...pictures to prove it!
I made it back to the hostel but somehow managed to over sleep and woke up startled and stuffed everything into my bag before checking out and legging it to the bus stop. It was a good night, somehow I ended up with someone's random email address and a mans medium sized Diesel T-Shirt...no idea where that came from! Anyway as I have always said the last bus was the worst...NOPE. This one was rubbish. No room whatsoever, fans which didn't reach me and it took over 13 hours to get to Saigon. The only thing which made it better was that they dropped me off right outside of the alleyway to my hostel. Some Pho and a good night sleep later I would be ready for a day of sightseeing in Saigon tomorrow.
The picture is of me and Ruth in The Sailing Club - no straight hair for me!

Dean Turnbull Hair looks better like that anyway - bit 'Dallas' styleeee! I've been reading your updates, and it sounds great, but there always seems to be some 40 hour bus ride in a s*** heap of a wagon - puts me right off! Sitting in everyone's farts for hours on end, sweating my ring off? I couldn't do it, you're obviously made of sterner stuff!
