Seven Worlds Will Collide
Eshowe
-
A short diversion to the heart of Zululand where dad was born and later lived after his parents died.
-
Unsuccessful attempt to find a connection to the hostel where dad lived (but it did give mom & dad insight into hostel life as I will know it for the next year!)
-
Beautiful hills filled with green sugarcane and the traditional thatched rondavel huts
-
We took a risk and bought some extremely fragile clay pots that were made locally in Eshowe. They were what we thought were ridiculously cheap - US$10 to $15, if that - but it would cost us 10 times that to ship them to the US (I'm not entirely convinced they will make it either)**
**Modern day update: they didn't.
